As promised here is a review of my first holiday read last week: STRESS PROOF: the scientific solution to protect your brain and body – and be more resilient every day By Dr Mithu Storoni (@drmithustoroni on Instagram).
📚This book really covers so many aspects of our lives which can generate stress. It was much broader than I thought it was going to be which I really enjoyed. It covered so many areas I’m interested in:
🔹cortisol regulation
🔹circadian rhythm
🔹motivation.
📚Other key areas discussed included:
🔸The balance between the rational and emotional brain.
🔸Inflammation
🔸Insulin resistance
🔸long term success and resilience.
 📚The great thing about this book is how evidenced based it is, but presented in such a clear and understandable manner, no easy feat!
📚One thing I loved about this book is how at the end of each section Dr Mithu Storoni put bullet points of clear, practice take home massages you could apply to help minimise the stress on your body and mind 🙌.
🖍️I read it on a kindle app and I don’t think I’ve ever highlighted so much in my life!
📚If you feel stressed or are worried about the impact of stress on your health and wellbeing, or just interested in stress management, I really recommend this book.
