Page 26: The Real Health Podcast: The healthy meals & snacks you need with Roz Purcell & Indy Power
This podcast by Karl Henry with guests Indy Power and Rozanna Purcell has so many tips for healthy and yummy meals and snacks. –
This week’s Sunday sessions is going to be on tips for introducing more plant based foods into your diet so thought this podcast would tie in nicely with some general healthy eating ideas. –
They discuss so many things and there are so many great foodie ideas. Some key takeaways and things I advocate too are:
Meal prep the easy way cook for 2/double the amount of portions you need, stick them in some Tupperware and pop them in the fridge or freezer ready for when you need them.
️This leads nicely into the second tip – use your freezer!
✔️Have a plan for the week with what recipes you’d like to make and go to the shop with a list. This reduces impulse buys. The above 2 tips also work towards reducing your food waste .
🤤Very importantly, and foremost in my opinion, eat food you enjoy! It doesn’t matter who is telling you to eat a smoothie bowl, avocado or quinoa, if you don’t like it don’t feel bad for not eating it! There will some some foods you enjoy so eat them! –
Don’t stick a label on yourself – I love this! If you want to be paleo, keto, low carb, vegan go for it, but if you don’t want to be restricted or bound to a certain way of eating then don’t. Do what works for you and don’t feel pressurised to label yourself if you don’t want to .
The only way I would describe my diet is plant based, and partly this is due to the very broad nature of this term. –
